The Zoning Code Assessment identifies opportunities for improving the City’s existing zoning regulations. The document describes which parts of the Zoning Ordinance function well, which parts are broken and need modification, and which parts should be removed altogether. The intent is to educate the public and appointed/elected officials and serve as the foundation for the new Zoning Code. Comments for the document can be posted below.
Please consider an edit to page 5. Under the section “Establish and Implement a Vision for Key Locations”, please change “Exit 17 Industrial” to “Exit 17 Commercial/Industrial” or simply “Exit 17/Whitney Road”. This change would reflect the recent rezoning of 28 acres on Whitney Road/Route 4 to Gateway Performance to accommodate a proposed mixed use commercial development.
